Tesla investment in India

Tesla representatives are planning to meet with India's commerce minister to discuss building a factory in the country. The aim is to produce a new $24,000 electric vehicle (EV) that would be 25% cheaper than its current lowest-priced offering, the Model 3 sedan sold in China. This move comes after previous efforts to reduce import taxes on Tesla EVs in India faced hurdles, and the company now seeks to manufacture cars locally to serve the domestic market and for export.
